Brentyn is a Gumbaynggirr man (traditional country around present day Coffs Harbour, northern New South Wales) having also Dunghutti, Irish and Italian heritage.

Brentyn has over twenty years experience in the art field. His experience includes working at Aboriginal Nations cartooning studio in Sydney producing computer animated dreamtime stories (these are still screened on ABC television today). He has also produced many commissioned works for schools, organisations and even a church.

Other work that Brentyn has been involved with is graphic design work and freelance painting on canvas.
